Foster Program

At the DFW Humane Society, we believe in the power of community and compassion. Our foster program offers DFWHS cats and dogs a temporary home filled with love and care while they await their forever families. When you take one of our fosters into your home, a space in the shelter opens up, allowing us to save more lives!

After submitting the application, we will reach out to coordinate a time for you to visit the shelter. This will allow us to connect you with a foster, go over fostering guidelines and explain what resources are available to you as a foster family.

All materials you need during the foster period, like crates and food, will be supplied by DFW Humane Society. You only need to supply a temporary home and lots of love.
