Each year, your support provides for hundreds of life-saving pet rescues from other shelters, daily food, care, and enrichment, major medical procedures, and heartworm treatments.

The need for safe shelters like ours continues to grow, and we want to ensure that we are prepared to take on challenges new and old.

We continue to provide our pets with daily care, food, vaccinations, and other essential needs and enrichment. In addition, we incur additional expenditures such as spay and neuter procedures, wellness exams, and emergency medical care or other life-saving treatments coordinated through local veterinary clinics.

Your generosity is a vital part of providing these precious animals a second chance for happiness, health, and a loving, stable home.

Information about Donation Options

  • General Care
    General care covers daily care of the pets in our shelter including food, daily care, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and other needs to keep our pets happy and healthy.
  • Guardian Angel Fund
    The Guardian Angel Fund is a special fund designated for special needs medical expenses for the pets in our care from heartworm treatments to major surgery.
  • Irving Resident Free Spay/Neuter Program
    DFW Humane Society and Irving Animal Services have partnered to offer free spay/neuter, microchip, and rabies vaccination services for owned dogs and cats to qualifying Irving residents. Donations to this program make it possible to provide these free services to those in need.
  • Pet Food Assistance Program
    Our Pet Food Assistance program provides pet food to those who cannot afford pet food. Dog and cat food (both dry and wet) donations make this assistance possible.
  • Angel for Keeps
    This program will provide resources and financial assistance to pet owners who would surrender their pets to a shelter due to their temporary inability to afford a proper solution related to medical, behavior, general care and housing changes for their beloved companion.  Services included medical care, behavior problems, housing changes, and food and pet supplies. This program will be case by case basis and covered by donations and grants when available. The impact will preserve the human/animal bond, keep beloved companions where they belong and reduce incoming animals to shelters with the risk of euthanasia.
