Guardian Angel Fund Press Release for March 2008

The Guardian Angel Fund needs more Angels: REWARD OFFERED!

• A Beagle named Sunshine with every bone in her foot, crushed
• A tiny Chihuahua named Sandy pulled out from underneath a car, her leg broken in two places
• A Chihuahua mix named Bishop, his knee cap slipping out of place
• Another Beagle mix named Buddy hit by a car, awaits surgery to repair a broken pelvis
• A pit bull that needed ACL repair
• 8 others treated for heartworm disease.

All have been saved thanks to the ANGEL FUND at the DFW HUMANE SOCIETY.

The Shelter's Angel Fund is a restricted fund set up to help cover medical expenses to save animals lives so they can have a second chance, through adoption. Unfortunately, this fund has taken some huge hits over the past 6 months. Over $10,000.00 has been spent to save these pets and others.  Some have already been adopted and are enjoying their new lives, but the vet bills still remain.

Through a special Angel the DFW Humane Society received 4 Start / Finish line tickets to the Nascar at Texas Motor Speedway.  We are using these tickets as an extra bonus for our generous supporters.

Anyone donating $25.00 or more to our Angel Fund by March 29th will be entered into a drawing to win 4 start/ finish line tickets to Nascar at Texas Motor Speedway for the entire weekend April 5-6. The drawing will be held March 30 at 1:00pm. Need not be present to win.

Please help us give these wonderful pets a second chance at a good life and not just be a throw away. They just need to be fixed, and all it takes are people to give from their heart to help mend these animals and give them the second chance they deserve to find that forever home.
