The DFW Humane Society is a non profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1967.
We are a no-kill shelter dedicated to giving homeless and unwanted pets a second chance in life through adoption.
We house about 80-100 animals at any given time and take in strays and owner released pets from the DFW Metroplex.
We don't receive and state or federal funding so we depend solely on caring people for our survival.
Put a Paw print in your heart and a best friend at home!

We accept pets by appointment based on space availability. Please call us during business hours if you are needing to place a pet.
We are unable to accept pets under 8 weeks of age because of their susceptibility to disease and fragile condition, shelter life is not conducive for the little ones.
We are unable to accept pets in need of medical attention because we do not have a vet on staff or premises.
We keep our pets as long as it takes to find them a home.
We do ask for a 25.00 donation to help cover their stay with us. |
